The Ipe Brazilian Walnut is the strongest on the Janka scale. For this reason, you will not have to worry about dents and scratches with this wood since it is the most resistant exotic hardwood on the planet.
The Ipe Brazilian Walnut is also oily which builds up a protective layer, repelling termites and other insects. With the combination of hardness, high density, and decay resistance, the wood is durable with excellent weathering properties. Its texture is medium to fine, and its colour varies from brown to dark brown. Sometimes black stripes can be seen through its overall brownish overtone.
